Life Lately #5

I hope everyone had such a great Christmas and are looking forward to the new year!

December 22-28

Life Updates // Spenser and I had our first Christmas together! We opened presents on Christmas Eve and it was so nice getting to spend time together and opening our gifts. Other than working a lot and it being the holidays, not much else has been going on!

Happy Moment // I killed the present game this year and got Spenser a portrait of his dog and his cat in fancy outfits. It was a huge hit and I was seriously so excited to give it to him! I ordered it from here. We legit hung it up right over his bed and every time I see it, I start laughing because it's so funny. Next we need to get one of my cats!

Sad Moment // I didn't go home for Christmas this year and it honestly made me super sad. My family doesn't do much Christmas Day but I just wish I could have been home with them. To be honest, I cried a lot on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning because I felt so homesick and was super lonely until I went to Spenser's parents house later that day.

What I'm Loving // This Lilly Pulitzer romper! It is so stinkin' cute and I want to wear it all the time. I'm pretty sure the majority of the pals I work with at Lilly all bought this romper as well because we are all obsessed.

Beauty Product I'm Obsessed With // Whenever I find a new moisturizer, I never want to use anything else and that's how I feel about this Tula moisturizer. I know a lot of bloggers shill Tula but I genuinely enjoy this product! It keeps my skin super moisturized and feels so good on the skin.

Meal Prep // Still haven't done it yet because of the holidays ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Weekly Gratitude // Super grateful that Spenser and I got to spend the holidays together along with his family. S/O to his sister/my bff Kate especially.

Life Lately #4

I procrastinated super hard on this post so here it is, only like 5 days after I would normally would've had this published but oh well. I decided to combine the week of December 8th through 14th with week of December 15th through 21st because honestly week of the 8th was super boring until I went home and there wasn't really much to recap on!

Life Updates // Y'all I am freaking tired. It's hard working two jobs, especially during the holiday season, but ya girl is trying to stay alive. I usually like being busy and having things to do but right now, I just want a five hour nap and a really great foot massage.

Happy Moment // Spenser and I traveled back to my hometown the weekend of the 13th for an early Christmas with my family and it was so nice being home! My extended family had our annual Christmas party on Saturday and then we went to Macy's in downtown Chicago on that Sunday to shop and eat at the Walnut Room. I always fly home for Macy's because it's my favorite family tradition that we've been doing for such a long time! On the way back to Orlando, Spenser and I also got bumped up to first class and I see why people pay the big $$$ for it now. It was the best flight experience I've ever had.

Sad Moment // Being away from my family is really hard during the holidays. Also it doesn't even feel like the holidays here in Florida probably because it's like 70 degrees and sunny most days.

What I'm Loving // These Sam Edelman loafers are seriously so comfy and cute! I have the hardest time breaking in flats of any sort but I haven't had a single issue with these. After I bought the saddle color in stores, I ordered them in black online!

Beauty Product I'm Obsessed With // I was using the Colourpop eyebrow pencil but when I was home, it broke. So I went to CVS and picked up the Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim Eyebrow Pencil and wow omg y'all it's amazing! I actually prefer it to my Colourpop eyebrow pencil. It applies so easily and the blonde color is a perfect match!

Meal Prep // With the holidays, we haven't had much time to meal prep but we will for sure get back on it during the new year!

Weekly Gratitude // I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to go home the weekend of the 13th. Living 1,000+ miles away from your family is freakin' tough y'all. But those moments of being home are what make my heart super happy.

Life Lately #3

December 1-7  (How is it already December?!?!?! This year has felt like it's lasted ten years but at the same time has flown by!)

Life Updates // Y'all I am freaking tired. It's hard working two jobs but ya girl is trying to stay alive. I usually like being busy and having things to do but right now, I just want a five hour nap and a really great foot massage.

Happy Moment // This may sound super lame but all the Baby Yoda memes make me so happy. I've never been into the Star Wars franchise but this lil dude might make me want to watch the new show and older movies. Spenser and I are constantly sharing the memes and they are so funny!

Sad Moment // I've honestly been just kind of sad this holiday season. I decided to not go home for Christmas this year since it's in the middle of the week and I have a small amount of PTO left until May. Spenser and I are going up to Chicago this upcoming weekend for early Christmas but I'm sad I won't be home for actual Christmas Day. My family doesn't do much on Christmas but it's nice being home with them.

What I'm Loving // Even though it's "winter", it's still warm enough here some days to wear some cute, summery items! I just picked up this Lilly Pulitzer maxi dress and it is so beautiful and looks so flattering. I sized down because it is super long.

Beauty Product I'm Obsessed With // This mascara is my current fave! I've tried hundreds of mascara and this one doesn't clump and makes my lashes look so long! Just a warning though, it is not waterproof.

Meal Prep // We once again didn't meal prep this past week because we just didn't have the motivation to. But these mini meatloafs (which I am obsessed with) are for sure on our list sometime in the next few weeks.

Weekly Gratitude // I'm super thankful for the friends I've made while working at Lilly so far! I really enjoy being there and it honestly doesn't feel like work.

Life Lately #2

November 24-30

Life Updates // Nothing much has been going other than working a lot and seeing my family this past week!

Happy Moment // My family came down to Orlando for Thanksgiving and it was so nice to spend the holiday with them! I wasn't planning on flying home because I'm going back home in like two weeks for early Christmas but luckily my family decided to come here! I also got to meet my cutie pie niece and she is just the cutest little thing.

Sad Moment // Saying goodbye to my family always sucks and it's hard living far away from them, especially during the holidays. I've also been struggling with my mental health lately. Between working two jobs, having a boyfriend, and trying to find time to do things like wash my hair, I'm just so burnt out and it's taking a toll on me.

What I'm Loving // This romper from Lilly Pulitzer. It's the perfect romper for the holidays and is so soft and comfy! It runs TTS and I have a size small. I wore it for Thanksgiving with OTK boots and it looked super cute!

Beauty Product I'm Obsessed With // Colourpop Brow Boss Pencil! This is my current go-to eyebrow pencil. I love how inexpensive it is and it lasts me a long time. I use the shade taupe.

Meal Prep // Spense and I didn't meal prep this past week because it was a short one but I did make bbq meatballs for our Colorful Weekend at Lilly Pulitzer! They were a huge hit and so yummy.

Weekly Gratitude // I am so thankful that I had the chance to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my family. It meant so much that they came down here and I can't wait to see them in a few weeks for an early Christmas!

Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!

Life Lately #1

To keep myself more accountable with blogging, I've toyed around with the idea of doing a weekly day-by-day update. Buutttt, my life is pretty boring so I figured I'd break it down in a different way. I feel like the subjects I chose are pretty self-explanatory so happy reading! I will be posting these {hopefully} every Sunday.

November 17 - 23

Life Updates // I started working at Lilly Pulitzer part-time because I was tired of serving and omg y'all, I love it. The people are so nice, the store is beautiful, and I genuinely enjoy going to work there. Plus the clothes are super cute!

Happy Moment // Spending last Sunday doing nothing other than watching Disney+ with the bf. Spenser was traveling the past two weeks for work so it was so nice to just relax and spend time together.

Sad Moment // Spenser once again has left me for a quick trip to Key West for a bachelor party. This is the third time he has been gone this month. Also, I was super sick earlier this week and it was not fun.

What I'm Loving // Disney+ but honestly who doesn't love it?! My go-to show right now is Lizzie McGuire and I'm so excited for the reboot!

Beauty Product I'm Obsessed With // It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation! This stuff is hands down one of the best foundations I've used. I have combo skin and this doesn't dry my cheeks out or make my t-zone oily. I wear the shade medium but when I run out, I'm going to drop down a shade or two because my current self-tanner isn't super tan. I've applied it with a beauty sponge and the brush and I like it both ways but I prefer the brush.

Meal Prep // On Sundays, Spenser and I normally meal prep so we have lunch and dinner throughout the week already taken care of! This week, it was one of my faves - honey sriracha glazed meatballs with quinoa. I love meatballs as meal prep because they are super easy to reheat and don't get gross like chicken does in the microwave. We double the sauce because I'm a huge sauce person and it's amazing.

Weekly Gratitude // It is the season of being thankful and I'm beyond thankful for a sweet and loving boyfriend who took care of me all last Sunday while I was sick. I'm a pain in the ass but he was such a trooper and made sure I was happy.

Arbua Travel Diary

Helllllloooo my wonderful pals! I'm still the worst blogger in all of existence but oh well. Two weeks ago, I traveled to Aruba with my boyfriend and his family and I figured I'd throw together a little post about our trip! This was my first time out of the country (!!!) and I fell in looooove with Aruba. The people were so kind, the weather was (mostly) beautiful, and I drank my weight in strawberry daiquiris which made me one happy camper. A huge thank you goes out to my boyfriend and his fam for letting me come along with them!!

First Few Months Back in Florida

*** I originally drafted this post a few weeks ago and holy shit y'all, I just realized I moved THREE months ago!! Time has honestly flown by wow omg. Anyways, back to the blog post. ***

Back in May, I made the trek back to the place I now call home - Orlando. In the last few months, I've honestly never been so happy and for the first time in a long time, I know I'm where I'm meant to be. I found such a great group of girlfriends, have a pretty cool job (and another that will be announced soon!!!), and even found myself a wonderful man.

Want to know something absolutely crazy? I've been more voluntarily social in the past few months than I have been for the past few years. I go to brunch with my bffs almost weekly, go on dates with my boyfriend often, and am often meeting new galpals! It's honestly so nice having plans and doing things with friends. As introverted as I am, once I'm around the right people, I'm such an extrovert where I'm obnoxious af.

People ask me if I miss Houston and overall, no I don't. But I do miss some things about Houston like my old advertising job and coworkers, Torchy's Tacos, Pure Barre Spring, and my super nice apartment. Otherwise, I don't miss it. Houston was a learning experience but the longer I was there, the worse my mental health was getting. I was straight-up miserable my last couple months there and now that I'm gone, I feel like a weight has been lifted off of me.

I've severely neglected this blog for a while and that's because I was in such a bad headspace and honestly didn't have any motivation to write. But I really do want to change that. Blogging has been one of my favorite hobbies since I was like 15 and it's crazy to think that I've been doing this for almost 10 years!!! I really want to take this more seriously and I'm glad I have a group of people to keep me accountable now.

Coming soon will be an ultimate guide to Orlando (not including the theme parks because there is honestly so much more to do here than just theme parks) that will be updated frequently as I go to new places, my favorite places at Disney once it's not so dang hot outside, maybe an apartment tour???, my beauty/skincare routines, travel guides, and maybe some outfit guides for things like dressing business casual or the cutest brunch outfits!

Also, don't forget to follow my insta to see all the fun I've been having!!

I'm Moving (Again)!

Well y'all, it's been a while. There have been so many times where I wanted to blog yet whenever I sat down to write, I never finished a draft. To be honest, I've been pretty miserable here in Houston. All I do is work, work some more, and sleep. I don't have many friends here either and I just don't belong here. Due to all of this, I decided to move again! There was a hint about this on my Instagram story the other day about how I'll miss my job when I leave Houston and some of you guys caught on and messaged me about it!

New Year's Resolutions

Hello my wonderful readers! I can't believe we are already a week into the new year! I took a little hiatus because life hasn't been the best lately and I was completely uninspired. I was looking back on my 2018 resolutions and I did not follow through with them so let's try this again. I spent a while thinking about these goals and I'm really hoping I can stick to them!
